By Al Giordano
Election Night Correspondent

April 27, 2003

According to televised “exit polls” in the presidential elections in Argentina, former president Carlos Menem will face off against Néstor Kirchner in the May 18th final election… just seven days before the next president will take office.

The Great Neoliberal Capitalist Hope, Ricardo López Murphy, fell into a tailspin, as citizen activist Elisa Carrió makes an unexpectedly strong showing…

These are the official results… Narco News projects Kirchner and Menem as the final two candidates to make it to the second and final round on May 18th.
