Dear Readers,

As you all know Narco News is a project, an experiment, in Authentic Journalism. The paper has never had any advertisers to support it, thus avoiding the pitfalls of commercial media and its reliance on the outside influences of money and politics.

Our stories are not written to please any commercial or political element of civil society, but instead individuals, with a myriad of political viewpoints, write them. They report through their own eyes what they see and experience, in order to bring the words of other peoples' struggles to life and as close as possible to the truth that is so often ignored by the mainstream, only because it simply does not serve a financial or political agenda.

Our journalists volunteer their time and labor to bring real news about real people to our readers, sometimes putting themselves in harms way in order to report truth, injustice and the voices of those who would never be heard to the outside world. They report out of a sense of duty to better society and humanity, rather than their own political beliefs. The beliefs of our reports and co-publishers run from one end of the political spectrum to the other, and it's the commonality of constructing a better future for all that binds them together, rather than splitting them apart, over ideological differences.

Please remember that your dedication as readers is just as important. For it is you, dear reader, who carries the voices and stories of others around the world through your readership and thus is highly valued by everyone here at Narco News. So, I ask those of you who share our common ground to better humanity, and who appreciate the work and dedication of our reporters, to help us continue our grand experiment by donating to The Fund for Authentic Journalism.
